Commissioners

The Los Angeles County Ethics Commission has seven members. The Chair of the Board of Supervisors, the Assessor, and the Governance Reform Task Force each nominate one commissioner, and the initial three commissioners then nominate four additional commissioners following a public recruitment and application process. All nominations are submitted to the Board of Supervisors for consideration. Commissioners serve staggered five-year terms with shorter initial terms to establish the staggered schedule. Commissioners may not be reappointed after serving a full five-year term.
